Merging an Assignment with a Manually Created Workfile

Insurance and Carwise Appointment assignments can be merged with unlocked workfiles that you have created. A DRP or non-DRP assignment can be merged with an open external workfile. An assignment can be merged with a manually created workfile if a standard vehicle has been selected from the MOTOR database, and the estimate has not been locked. Other conditions that apply are:

Manually created workfile without estimate lines merges with a Copied Workfile
Manually created workfile with or without estimate lines merges with an EMS Assignment

To merge an assignment with a manually created workfile

Select View > Workfiles from the menu bar. The Workfiles Search Results screen opens.
Select the assignment, and then select Action > Merge from the mini-toolbar. The Merge - Select Workfile screen opens.
Enter search criteria in the Search terms field if needed, and then click on the Search button. The workfiles that match the search criteria appear in the Search Results pane.
Select the workfile, and then select Next.
Review the assignment and workfile information.
Select Next.
Select one or more images, and then select Finish. The assignment is merged and the workfile opens.
